7 to 9 p.m. The Improv Group
Join the Improv Group in Starr Building Room 138 for some laughter while they perform skits similar to those of “Whose Line” and “SNL.”
Monday Jan. 27
6:30 p.m. Auditions for FSU Theatre’s Production of Ajax in Iraq
Are you interested in theatre? Come try out for Ajax in Iraq, in Williams Auditorium. Ajax in Iraq is a serious play that deals with past and present wars and how situations and pressures affect soldiers. Preparation, pervious experience and signup are not necessary.
7 to 8:30 p.m. Sports Speakers Series: Ira Childress
Join Ferris alumnus and Okemos High School athletics director Ira Childress in College of Business Room 111 where he will present the keynote speech titled “Five Ways to Set Yourself Apart From the Competition and Land Your Dream Job in Sports.” This event is free and open to the public.

7 to 9 p.m. Musician – Emily Hearn
Come support and enjoy musician Emily Hearn as she performs at The Rock. Emily independently released her debut EP, Paper Heart, in April 2010; released a music video for her hit single “Rooftop” in February 2011 and independently released her first full length album in January 2012. *CANCELED DUE TO WEATHER CONDITIONS*

Susan K. Jones, a Marketing professor in her 24th year at Ferris, is sharing how her experiences have transferred to the classroom and helped to inspire more College of Business to study abroad. Susan will be speaking in FLITE Room 405

All Ferris students are invited to attend a resume preparation workshop prior to career week in GRN 102.

9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Self-Compassion and Emotional Resilience A One-Day Workshop with Kristin Neff
Come join Kristin Neff, Ph.D. in a workshop developed to teach you how to have better self-esteem, self-worth and self-compassion at the StoneWater Country Club in Grand Rapids. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. and a lunch is offered during the workshop.
