Ferris' Online Graduate Business Programs Recognized by U.S. News and World Report

College of BusinessFerris State University’s online graduate business programs rank among the nation’s best, according to U.S. News and World Report’s Top Online Education rankings.

Ferris ranked No. 54 out of 213 schools listed in the prestigious news magazine’s report released this week. The College of Business offers both a master of Business Administration online and a master of science in Information Security and Intelligence as a combination of online and on-the-ground courses.

“While we don’t make a practice of pursuing rankings – doing so is not always in the best interests of those we serve – we do appreciate the U.S. News and World Report ranking as acknowledgement that we are on track,” said David Nicol, dean of the College of Business. “We believe our MBA program to be somewhat unique in emphasis – with particular focus on performance metrics for the workplace – and designed to facilitate access for the working adult through its online delivery mode.

“External confirmation that we are perceived as effective in this is gratifying.”

U.S. News and World Report based its rankings on level of accreditation, student engagement, faculty credentials and training, student services and technology, and peer assessment.

About 100 students are enrolled in Ferris’ online MBA program, while a little more than 30 are enrolled in the new MS degree program, Nicol said.

The College of Business offers more than 40 certificate, associate, bachelor’s and master’s degree programs on its Big Rapids campus, online or at one of Ferris’ academic centers across Michigan.
