“Ferris Goes Hollywood!” is the theme of the Ferris State University Spring Band and Orchestra Concert at 4 p.m. Sunday, April 28 in Williams Auditorium.
Sunday’s concert will feature the FSU Symphony Band, West Central Concert Band and West Central Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Richard Scott Cohen. Performances will include soundtrack classics from such films as “Titanic” and the “Harry Potter” and “Pirates of the Caribbean” series as well as 1930s cartoon “Peeping Penguins” and “The Hubble Space Telescope: Exploring Space and Beyond.”
Ferris student musicians Jason Dunk, Hannah Lanning, Connor Shannon and Eric Watson will be featured during Sunday’s performance.
The concert will conclude with a Student Recognition Ceremony in celebration of graduating
students. The ceremony will include a presentation of the annual Susan and Ernest
Wenger Band Scholarship Awards.
Also this week will be the Ferris Jazz Band’s Spring Concert, under the direction of Matt Moresi. The concert is 8 p.m. Friday, April 26 in Williams Auditorium.
Both concerts are free and open to the public.
