Popular Hypnotist Tom DeLuca to Perform at Ferris Nov. 29

Tom DeLucaHypnotist Tom DeLuca is coming back to Ferris State University to put another group of students under his spell.

The performance, at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29 in Williams Auditorium, is free and open to the public.

“Tom’s hypnosis show is appealing to not only students, but the entire community,” said Elizabeth Fabode, Entertainment Unlimited’s vice president of programming. “This show is for everyone, which is why we really enjoy having him come to Ferris year after year.”

DeLuca describes his shows as “very original” and not “cookie-cutter” material. He promises audience members who agree to participate that he won’t make them do anything outrageous or embarrassing.

“For every show, there are at least one or two people who show the beauty of their imaginations,” said DeLuca, who primarily performs for corporations and on the college circuit. “When you get people who are so deep into imagination, the show is spontaneous and sparks intense creativity. It really turns out to be a novel show.”

DeLuca said he enjoys returning to Ferris to perform.

“I’ve worked with some really nice people at Ferris throughout the years, and it’s always nice to come back to such a welcoming place,” he said. “The participation and size of the crowd is always great to work with. I just really enjoy coming here.”
