Ferris State University instructors can learn ways to help students become more engaged in American politics and to be better-informed citizens of the U.S., by attending Round up Luncheon, hosted by the Political Engagement Project.
The event is set for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 2 in The Rock Café Private Dining Room.
Danette Mondrella, a PEP administrative assistant, said that the organization is made up of a group of individuals with a passion about the political process.
“It is quite stimulating to see the interaction between PEP members,” Mondrella said. “This is a great organization.”
Through PEP, funds are available to assist with classroom projects and to provide additional information. Former PEP faculty will be in attendance to discuss how ways that they have used funding and how they plan to utilize funding in the future.
“Students should become more politically engaged in order to educate themselves,” Mondrella said. “After all, this is an election year.”
