Snyder Appoints Ferris Grad to Professional Surveyors Board

LANSING – Gov. Rick Snyder has appointed Ferris State University alumnae Ginger Michalski-Wallace, of Whitmore Lake, to represent professional surveyors on the State Board of Professional Surveyors.

Created in 1980, the groups regulate the practices of professional surveyors.

“These boards play a vital role in the safety and advancement of Michigan,” Snyder said. “I am confident these experienced individuals will bring new ideas and a commitment to excellence to the boards.”

Michalski-Wallace, who earned a bachelor’s degree in Surveying Engineering from Ferris, is president of Alpine Engineering Inc. and previously worked for Atwell Hicks LLC. Michalski-Wallace also holds a master’s degree in Engineering from Purdue University.

She will replace Karol Grove.

Appointees to both boards will serve four-year terms that expire March 31, 2016. Their appointments are subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
