Comedian Nicholas Anthony to Perform at Ferris, Feb. 7

Nicholas AnthonyComedian and magician Nicholas Anthony will perform in Ferris State University’s Rankin Student Center Dome Room on Tuesday, Feb. 7 beginning at 8 p.m.

Each year, members of the Ferris student organization Entertainment Unlimited attend the National Association for Campus Activities regional and national conferences. The conferences showcase comedians, magicians, mentalists and other talented performers like Anthony. After seeing his performance at a NACA conference, Allissa Witucki, interim director of Student Leadership and Activities, had a thought: “A comedian with a twist of magic would be a cool idea to bring to Ferris.”

Anthony earned first place at the Las Vegas Comedy Festival and has been on two seasons of NBC’s Last Comic Standing. Event organizers envision the performance as a nice opportunity for students to unwind a little during a break from the normal studies.

“We like to bring comedians to Ferris as stress reliever or a way to get students laughing while coming out on campus,” said Witucki, who serves as an advisor for Entertainment Unlimited.

This event, sponsored by EU, is free and open to the public.
