Few things emotionally fire up the alumni like a good, old-fashioned rivalry football
game.
The Ferris State University Alumni Association hopes to capitalize on that enthusiasm on Saturday, Oct. 22, as the Bulldog football team makes the short trip to Allendale to take on rival Grand Valley State University’s Lakers.
As part of that rivalry spirit, the Alumni Association is sponsoring “Tailgate ’11 – Sink the Lakers” on GVSU’s home turf in Allendale from 4 to 7 p.m. in Lot F, adjacent to the fieldhouse on Grand Valley’s main campus.
The event is free of charge, but attendees are required to pre-register by Thursday, Oct. 20 to attend.
The tailgating event will feature Ferris alumni, friends, tunes from Bulldog Radio and snacks before the Bulldogs and Lakers battle in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference gridiron action in Lubbers Stadium at 7 p.m.
