David EislerBIG RAPIDS – Ferris State University President David L. Eisler invites Big Rapids and Mecosta County area friends and neighbors to a 125th Anniversary Community Discussion about the state of Ferris and about unfolding plans for the future.

Eisler will share information about Ferris’ development and higher education in Michigan and will look forward to answering questions from the audience. The Community Discussion will be at 7 p.m., Monday, April 19, in Cardinal Hall, Big Rapids Middle School.

The event will be part of a week of special events celebrating the 125th anniversary of Ferris’ founding in Big Rapids and calling attention to the special partnership between Ferris and its home area.

“This is a welcome opportunity for Ferris to thank publicly the town and county that have been tremendously supportive in building a truly distinctive university,” Eisler said.

“This is also the perfect time to explore how Ferris can engage the ambitions and needs of Big Rapids and Mecosta County in the future and help turn our challenges in a rewarding and prosperous direction,” he added.
