Ferris partners with ARI to hold instructor workshop

BIG RAPIDS – In a cooperative effort with Ferris State University’s HVACR program, the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute’s Educational Services is sponsoring its second Regional Instructor Workshop July 10 through 12 in the Granger Center for Construction and HVACR.

ARI’s education department has hosted instructor workshops in Arlington, Va., for 11 consecutive years. The regional workshop was inaugurated in response to attendees who cited the need for training that would accommodate those people unable to make it to the main event in Arlington.

The workshop consists of a full three-day agenda of technical training combined with opportunities for attendees from 63 educational institutions across the country to socialize and network. The event’s “Education and Industry Idea Exchange” includes such topics as codes, steam school, Psychrometrics, brain research and learning, developing tests, fan laws, Direct Digital Controls, strategies for creating effective lesson plans for real models, emerging alternative technologies and recruitment strategies.
