STS recommends that students interested in obtaining network access from their rooms via their own computers have the following MINIMUM requirements in mind before bringing a computer from home to campus. If you plan to invest in a new machine, we suggest that you EXCEED the minimum requirements to the extent that you can afford the purchase. We also suggest an USB keychain drive and all the accessories you can afford. However, please don't feel pressured to purchase more than you feel you can safely afford.
