University Wide Notices

Starting Monday, the University-Wide Notices that come out at the end of the day will have a new look that will be usable by both Outlook and Lotus Notes users, as well as on most mobile devices. It will have hyperlinks at the top of the page that, when you click on them, will take you down the page to the related story. A “Back to the Top” link will return you to the top of the page. This is an interim solution that we plan to improve on later.

Training Notes

Training in Grand Rapids

For those attending training in Grand Rapids at the ATC March 1-5, please note that the parking lot underneath the ATC will be closed.  Attendees need to park in structure #8 (Bostwick Parking Ramp), pull a ticket at drive in, park, and walk to the training facility, which is in structure #11 (Applied Technology Center computer classroom 180). On the way out, the participants and trainer will need to stop by at the Front Desk and obtain a parking pass for $1. No passes will be needed for the Barclay or Spectrum lots.

Department/ "Generic" Accounts

We are currently focused on individual employee accounts, thus, we needed to delay the migration of department/generic accounts until after March 17th. If you work with one of these accounts, please continue to use Lotus Notes to work with the account.

Getting Help

Need help or have questions before or after migration? We have contracted with an outside group to help answer phone calls related to Office 365 questions so campus techs will be able to remain focused on day-to-day support issues. You will still call the Technology Assistance Center at 231-591-4822 and press 2 for employee help, then press 1 to get to the specialists for Office 365.  If the issue cannot be fixed over the phone, they will reassign the request to a Ferris campus support tech.

Migration Days

Remember, Friday 28th at 5 pm (tomorrow!), the migration for those in University Advancement and Marketing, Student Affairs, Executive, and Administration and Finance divisions begins.

Academic Affairs and Kendall College of Art and Design employees will still be migrating the weekend of March 7th.
