To ensure contacts you have on your phone are saved, please go through these steps before 5 pm on Friday of migration.
Note: Avoid doing anything in your Lotus Notes email, contacts, or calendar unless absolutely necessary. We cannot guarantee that any changes you make / emails you send will be copied over to Outlook/Office 365
Starting at 5:01 PM on the migration day, the techs will start, one at a time, to set up your new account in the system, and your Lotus Notes account will be forwarded to the new account. Exactly when this will happen for each person will depend on when the techs get to your name on the list.
Once your account is created, they will then start the process that will copy your email and email folder structures, to-do lists, and calendar entries to your new Office 365 account. We are not sure how long it will take for each person or when they will be completely migrated.
You will receive an email from ITS once your department’s migration is completed.
You will be able to use the http://Office.ferris.edu portal to log in to your Office 365 account via a web browser over the weekend. However, your Lotus Notes items may not all be there.
Note: the migration will not remove the content from your Lotus Notes account, so you will be able to reference items in that account after the migration.
