Student Password Reset Tool - Aug 20, 2013
Over the last year, Information Technology Services have been reviewing our password reset tool and our password policy. We set up a new, easy-to-use, web-based tool for you to be able to reset your own password if you need to change it, or if you forget it! To use the tool, however, you will need to go through an account setup on a special website. Once you set up your account, including creating a new password and answering some security questions, your password will never expire! Starting August 20th, you will be directed to this new site when your current password expires when you try to log into MyFSU. There’s no need to wait until your password expires, though. To get started now:

1. Look up your temporary default password at www.ferris.edu/IDLookup
2. Go to pwdsetup.ferris.edu to set up your challenge questions. Use YourUserName@student.local as the id.
See how it works: Step-by-step instructions
3. Go to pwdhelp.ferris.edu to set up your new password.

You can contact the Technology Assistance Center (TAC) if you need help with the reset. TAC is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to help with any questions. TAC can be reached at 231-591-4822 or 877-779-4822 (toll free).

If you attend iConnect during move-in weekend, the technicians there will also be able to help you.

We hope you like the new password reset tool and password policy. Please go to the pwdsetup.ferris.edu soon to avoid the rush at the start of the semester.

Please note that students at satellite campuses may have a slightly different process. Please contact your local techs for more information.
