Disabilities Services

The purpose of Disabilities Services is to serve and advocate for students with disabilities, empowering them for self-reliance and independence while promoting equal access to educational opportunities and programs. Information, reasonable accommodation, assistive technology and counseling are offered to students. Professional development is offered to Ferris faculty and staff. Informational packets for high school counselors are also available through our office. Information for parents to aid students in transitioning into the FSU culture is available.

Disabilities Services is located within the Educational Counseling and Disabilities Services department. The ECDS is located on the 3rd floor of the Starr building, STR 313. Counselors in ECDS are available by appointment or on a walk-in basis. You can contact us by calling 1-800-4-FERRIS (1-800-433-7747) and ask for ext. 3057, or by calling (231) 591-3057, or by emailing ecds@ferris.edu.
