Ferris
State Universities Printing and Imaging Technology Management
Department consist of the Printing and Digital Imaging Technology
program, the Printing Management program and our the New Media Printing
and Publishing program.
All
of the Graphic Arts programs are designed to give students extensive
hands-on training on state-of-the-art equipment. Each student will
graduate with over 6,000 hours of instruction on equipment like a four
color Heidelberg MOVP-H, QMDI-46,a Muller-Martini Presto saddle binder
and perfect binder, Heidelberg Hell and Howtec and Agfa scanners and
imagesetters. The instruction is delivered by eight full-time faculty

of expertise.
After
a student has completed two years of technical hands-on training, they
begin their hands-on management training by managing “University
Printing” a real working printing company totally run as a classroom
experience. All of our students also complete 400 hours of internship
working for wide variety of printing companies.
Ferris
State’s unique approach to education and our reputation has not only
allowed us to enroll nearly 150 students each year or place 100% of our
graduates nationwide, it has also helped us build strong partnerships
with companies like yours. A recent survey of our nearly 2000 alumni
nationwide indicated that 87% of all printing alumni are currently in
positions to either purchase equipment or strongly influence purchase
decisions.
We
need you and your company’s assistance in building a partnership with
Ferris State University to keep our labs up to standard.
