Employers - Find an Intern

The Plastics Engineering Internship Program is designed to benefit both employers and students. Internship requirements are extremely flexible, allowing companies to tailor the intern experience to meet their specific needs. The only requirement of employers is that the supervisor signs the intern's weekly report and fills out a one-page standardized evaluation form at the end of the internship. Companies have several options in hiring students for internship positions.

Career Services Office

An on-campus interview can be scheduled with FSU's Career Services Office. Visiting campus usually yields the best results as it is very convenient for students to interview.

Open House

Companies sometimes schedule an open house for prospective interns. This allows students to visit the facility.

Post a Job Description

A very simple option is to mail or fax a job description to the Ferris Intern Coordinator. Internship openings are posted throughout the National Elastomer Center and announced in all plastics classes.
