AAS MET Program Outcomes
At the time of graduation,
AAS MET students will be able to:
- apply engineering principles
to technical problems
- carry out an experimental
study of a component including data collection, analysis, oral
presentation, and written report
- demonstrate communication
skills - oral, written and visual
- demonstrate ability to work
in teams
- demonstrate
understanding of ethical issues in their discipline
- broaden their background
with study in humanities and social sciences
- understand options to
continue their education
BS MET Program Outcomes:
At the time of graduation, BS MET students will be
able to:
- apply engineering principles to complex technical
problems
- carry out a capstone engineering project involving design,
testing, anaylysis, presentation, and reporting
- demonstrate communication skills (oral, written, and visual)
including a formal oral presentation
- demonstrate ability to work in teams
- demonstrate proficiency in the modern tools of the
discipline
- demonstrate understanding of ethical issues in their
discipline
- relate issues in diversity and globalization to their
discipline
- understand options to continue their education
- relate their education to problems in industry
