Automotive Program and Heavy Equipment Programs
After graduating from Western Michigan University in 1978, Professor Key taught in High School, industry and four colleges. He taught electronics both at Chrysler and Allen Bradley Electronic Corporation. After coming to Ferris State University, Professor Key taught in the electrical area since 1987. He is presently teaching in the electrical area as well as alternative fuels in the Automotive Engineering Technology Program.
Professor Key became coordinator of the Automotive Service and Auto Body program in 1996. He served as the Department Chair and also the President of the academic senate in 1999-2012. Currently, Key is a professor of Automotive and Heavy Equipment in the College of Engineering Technology.
