The economy has certainly impacted the Automotive Industry, but opportunities still exist for successful and rewarding careers. Today’s automotive consumers want clean, efficient vehicles that are well built, fun to drive, reliable, and fulfill their specific transportation needs. The manufacture of new vehicles, capable of satisfying these often contradictory requirements, places unprecedented demands upon the automotive engineering sector. 

From research and design, to testing and verification, to manufacture and quality assurance, a myriad of opportunities exist for the Engineering Technologist, as the Industry strives to answer the needs of tomorrows transportation consumer. While the economy may be struggling, the technological explosion in the automotive industry promises to provide many challenging, rewarding careers in Engineering.
