American Subcontractors Association of Michigan Endowed Scholarship

Scholarship amounts varies annually
Divided equally between fall and spring semester

  • Full-time sophomore, junior or senior student enrolled in Construction Managment or HVACR
  • Minimum GPA of 2.00
  • Financial need is NOT considered
  • Preference given to students who have demonstrated involvement with the American Subcontractors Association of Michigan (via: event attendance or internships)
  • Preference given to those students who reside in the association's membership geographical area.
  • Additional Requirements: Must have demonstrated a high level of enthusiasm, leadership, volunteerism and involvement in their respective program and express a desire for a career in the subcontracting industry.

ASHRAE (West Michigan) Scholarship

Scholarship amount varies annually

  • Undergraduate student enrolled in HVACR
  • Will be a junior or senior when they receive the award
  • Must be a member of ASHRAE student or professional chapter
  • Must have completed one term in the technical sequence of energy management
  • Minimum GPA of 3.50

Builders Exchange of Grand Rapids & Western Michigan Endowed Scholarship

Scholarship amount varies annually
Divided equally between fall and spring semester

  • Undergraduate student majoring in Construction Management or Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.00
  • Financial need is NOT considered

Hedrick Associates Endowed Scholarship

Scholarship amount varies annually

  • Undergraduate student enrolled in HVACR
  • Minimum GPA of 2.50
  • Financial need is considered*
  • Preference given to freshmen for recruitment purposes

HVACR Endowed Scholarship

Scholarship amount varies annually

  • Full-time enrollment for incoming freshman in HVACR OR transfer sophomore, junior or senior
  • Minimum GPA of 3.00
  • Financial need is not considered
  • Must demonstrate through written essay why they have chosen their career path, what their career aspirations are, as well as any hobbies or interests

  • Full-time sophmore, junior or senior enrolled in HVACR
  • Minimum GPA of 2.75
  • Leadership Potential

Gordon Kamstra Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Scholarship amount varies annually

  • Undergraduate student enrolled in HVACR
  • Must be a sophomore, junior or senior when they receive the award
  • Financial need is NOT considered
  • Minimum GPA of 3.50
  • Preference given to students from the west Michigan counties of Allegan, Kent, Muskegon and Ottawa

Karl E. Huffman Family Scholarship Endowment

Scholarship amount varies annually

  • Undergraduate student enrolled in HVACR
  • Minimum GPA of 2.50
  • Financial need is considered*
  • Preference given to freshman for recruiting purposes

Michigan Air Conditioning Contractors Association Endowed Scholarship

Scholarship amount varies annually

  • Undergraduate student enrolled in HVACR and must have completed at least one full semester
  • Minimum GPA of 3.00
  • Financial need is considered*
  • Must be a member of the student chapter of Air Conditioning Contractors of America
  • Preference given to students who aspire to enter the HVACR workforce
  • The recipient is selected by the HVACR program

Quality Air Endowed Scholarship

Scholarship amount varies annually

  • Full-time sophomore enrolled in HVACR Technology (AAS)
  • Minimum GPA of 3.20
  • Financial need is NOT considered
  • Preference given to students from the following counties: Berrien, Cass, St Joseph, Branch, Hillsdale, Van Buren, Kalamazoo, Calhoun, Jackson,Allegan, Barry, Eaton, Ingham, Ottawa, Kent, Ionia, Clinton, Muskegon,Montcalm, Oceana, Newaygo, Mecosta, Mason, Lake, Osceola, Gratiot, Livingston, Shiawassee
  • Must submit two letters of recommendation

Ryan Matthew Clark Annual Scholarship

UA Local 85 Plumbers, Steamfitters, and HVACR Service and Affiliated Contractors Endowed Scholarship

  • Undergraduate sophomore enrolled in HVACR
  • Must be an active member of the Mechanical Service Contractors of America RSO
  • Must be a Michigan resident
  • Minimum GPA of 3.00
  • Financial need is considered*
  • Preference given to those within the UA Local 85 Plumbers counties: Alcona, Alpena, Antrim, Arenac, Bay, Benzie, Charlevoix, Cheboygan, Clare, Crawford, Emmet, Gladwin, Grand Traverse, Gratiot, Iosco, Isabella, Kalkaska, Leelanau, Midland, Missaukee, Montmorency, Ogemaw, Oscoda, Otsego, Presque Isle, Roscommon, Saginaw, Tuscola, and Wexford

Mechanical Contracting Education and Research Foundation Scholarship (MCERF)

Scholarship amount varies annually

  • Must be a junior or senior majoring in the HVACR program
  • Must be a member of the MCAA and/or MSCA
  • Must submit an up-to-date resume that includes education, work experience and extra curricular activities
  • The recipient is selected by the HVACR program

Mechanical Service Contractors of America Association Scholarship

Scholarship amount varies annually

  • Awards based on scholastic achievement
  • Must be an active member in the student chapter of MSCA
  • A desire to work in an organized HVACR industry
  • Minimum GPA 3.00
  • Recipient selected by the MSCA Scholarship Committee

West Michigan Mechanical Contractors Association Scholarship

  • Preference given to Michigan residents and a member of the Mechanical Service Contractors of America RSO

Stanley J. Dean Endowed Scholarship

Scholarship amount varies annually

  • Full-time junior level (56-85 credit hours earned) in good standing
  • Minimum GPA of 3.00
  • Financial need is considered*
  • Must have demonstrated leadership abilities and potential in campus and/or community activities
  • Must submit two professional and two personal references
