Manufacturing Scholarships
Below are scholarships available to students enrolled in the Manufacturing Programs
at Ferris State University. Please apply for all that you qualify for.

Amerikam Endowed Scholarship
Scholarship amount varies annually
- Full-time student enrolled in any Manufacturing Program
- GPA is not considered
- Financial need is not considered
- Additional Requirements: Demonstrated leadership abilities

ASQ Dr. Joseph M. Juran Endowed Scholarship
Scholarship amount varies annually
- Full-time student enrolled in Quality Engineering Technology
- Minimum GPA of 3.20
- Financial need is not required, but may be considered
- Additional Requirements: Must have six credit hours in degree program. Demonstrated
student involvement in professional organizations and leadership abilities. Must show
intention of entering automotive industry upon graduation.

H.S. Die and Engineering, Inc. Endowed Scholarship
Scholarship amount varies annually
- Full-time sophomore, junior or senior enrolled in any Manufacturing Program
- Minimum GPA is 3.00
- Financial need is not considered
- Additional Requirements: Preference shall be given to H.S. Die and Engineering employees
and their children.
- Must submit completed application above
Hurco Introduction to Applications Engineering
(1) $1,400 scholarship
Covers cost of FSU MFGE related summer course & living expenses while employed as
summer intern at Hurco.
- Full-time student enrolled in any Manufacturing Program
- Minimum GPA of 2.50
- Financial need is not considered
- Additional Requirements: Must be enrolled full time during the fall & winter semesters
of the year of application and completed the MFGT 212 CNC course at FSU in MFGT. Acceptance
of this award requires the student to assume responsibility for employment at Hurco
Companies, Inc. in Indianapolis, IN for a minimum of twelve weeks

Hurco Ultimax
(1) $500 scholarship
Divided equally between fall and spring semester
- Full-time student enrolled in any Manufacturing Program
- GPA is not considered
- Financial need is not considered
- Additional Requirements: Applicant must demonstrate innovative use of Hurco software
and/or equipment in a MGFT course project, as determined by a panel of Ferris State
University Manufacturing Tooling Technology faculty
- Must submit completed application above
John Deere Foundation Scholarship
(2) $3,000 scholarship
Divided equally between fall and spring semester
- Full-time student enrolled in either the FSU Electrical-Electronics Engineering, Manufacturing
Engineering or Welding Engineering Technology Programs with two to four semesters
remaining until graduation
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Financial need is not considered
- Additional Requirements: Be eligible for permanent employment in the United States
at the time of graduation

LeBlond Foundation of Makino Die/Mold Applications Annual Scholarship
Scholarship divided equally between fall and spring semester
- Full-time student majoring in the Manufacturing Technology: Tooling Technology Concentration
- GPA is not considered
- Financial need is not considered
- Additional Requirements: The recipient must have successfully completed all major
tooling courses.
- The recipient must have demonstrated high level of performance in all CNC courses
as well as the die and mold building application courses.
- Student must submit their project portfolios, tool assemblies, and finished components
for review at the time of application.

Steven M. Brown Memorial Endowed Scholarship
Scholarship amount varies annually
- Full-time student enrolled in mechanical engineering
technology or manufacturing engineering technology
- GPA is not considered
- Financial need is not considered
- Additional Requirements: Preference is given to students
with dyslexia. A medical slip is requested when submitting
your application.

Outside scholarships are not managed by Ferris State University. However, it is our
intent to make students aware of additional funding opportunities. If you have questions
