Dean's Office
Welcome to the College of Engineering Technology!

We are very proud of our degree programs, our excellent reputation for quality education, and the success our graduates have enjoyed for decades. As you explore pursuing your degree at Ferris State, you will notice several unique traits of our college.

The quality and practicality of our degree programs. This is reflected in:

  • Our close relationships with leading edge companies and professional organizations,
  • Our graduates who have a near 100 percent placement upon graduation in the majority of our programs; they enter the workforce with an above-average pay scale,
  • Hiring faculty who have both a record of achievement in their professions and have a passion for the success of their students,
  • Programs which incorporate laboratories, projects, and internships that give real and creative applications to theory.

The focus on Bachelor level education. Unlike many colleges that focus resources on doctoral students, our Ferris State's College of Engineering Technology is resolute in focusing resources on our bachelor level students. The wisdom of this philosophy is evidenced by the success of our alumni and the demand for our graduates. The College of Engineering Technology prepares leaders.

The breadth of our degree offerings. The college offers eighteen Bachelor Science degrees in engineering, engineering technology (engineering with a focus on application), as well as other specialty degrees. I encourage you to explore our websites, contact our programs and visit our beautiful West Michigan campus. We would love to have you come to a Dawg Day tour or arrange for another time at your convenience. For those of you who cannot attend at our Big Rapids campus, explore our offerings in many locations throughout Michigan as well as those delivered through internet technology.

College of Engineering Technology students operate over 200 active, professionally affiliated organizations that offer many excellent networking advantages.
