Ophthalmic Services Manager
Nancy has enjoyed over 25 years of service at the University Eye Center located in the Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University in a variety of positions.
Currently she serves as the Ophthalmic Services Manager. Prior to that she was the Dispensary Coordinator and has also worked as an Optician, Clinical Studies technician and Clinic Clerk. After earning an Associate Degree in Optometric Technician and her Bachelor’s Degree in Allied Health Education she taught in the Optometric Tech program at the Michigan College of Optometry for a year while one of the instructors went on sabbatical.
In 2010 she received the distinguished team award, having previously been nominated for the distinguished staff award in 2005. She has also written and received several grants.
As the Ophthalmic Services Manager she handles the clinic accounts for equipment, glasses, frames, pharmaceuticals, and various clinic supplies. She also keeps the data libraries updated for the various insurance companies we accept. Keeping things running smoothly as possible to ensure patient satisfaction is her number one goal.
