The KCP/Morris Hood Grant has given the School of Education grant funds to develop and encourage Teacher Education careers for students of diversity (which include high-needs, high-poverty, at-risk districts with significant percentages of under-represented populations).

Through the assistance of this Grant Ferris State School of Education has implemented many new tools to assist students in their success:

  • Blackboard (FerrisConnect) On-line community
  • Level II Clearance
  • Student Policy Handbook
  • MTTC Study Guides
  • "A Game" training and certification
  • Financial Assistance with costs associated with MTTC testing
  • Financial Assistance with LiveText Software
  • Tutoring opportunities available to gain experience and network with schools
  • Financial Assistance with (School of Education-TEACH) apparel for Pre-student teaching
  • MTTC subject area study library available for checkout and available online
  • Limited Funds available for Scholarship while student Teaching
