Literature in Person Series Reading Series

The Literature in Person Reading Series is an annual series of free readings by publishing creative writers. Coordinated by eminent poet and Ferris professor Phillip Sterling, these events feature regionally or nationally known authors reading selections from their recent work of poetry, fiction, or creative non-fiction, and audience members also have the opportunity to ask the writers questions about their work. Readings are scheduled throughout the academic year and are held on campus or at convenient nearby Big Rapids locations such as Great Lakes Books or Artworks art gallery. If you're a reader, writer, aspiring author or editor, attending Literature in Person events is a great way to learn what's new in contemporary literature; discover a variety of literary voices, styles, and techniques; and network with other students and faculty mentors with an interest in creative writing.
