Profile:
Dan Adsmond is a professor of organic chemistry. He received
his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota, where he also carried
out postdoctoral research on sulfa drugs in the Pharmaceutics
department. He primarily teaches courses in organic chemistry and
enjoys stimulating his students' interest by involving them in
group work and extended laboratory projects. Prof. Adsmond's
ongoing research lies in the area of molecular recognition and
focuses on learning how and why certain molecules recognize and
actively bind to each other.
