Dr. Michael Dekker holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Notre Dame. He teaches a variety of courses, from Intermediate Algebra through the upper level courses offered by the math department, and is involved in the Structured Learning Assistance Program. His special interests include topology, the study of the properties of objects that don't change under deformation. Ask him about Klein Bottles. He is also involved in the development of the online instruction of courses in mathematics.
