David is a newcomer to Ferris, but has been teaching in the communication field for the past several years. He taught public speaking, interpersonal communication, and small group communication material at Mid-Michigan Community College from 2004 to 2005 and at Central Michigan University from 2001 to 2003. David earned both a Master of Arts in Speech Communication and a Bachelor of Arts in Interpersonal and Public Communication (with a minor in Marketing) from Central Michigan University. His teaching interests are split between interpersonal communication and public communication. David's passion for public communication stems from his 10 plus years of experience working at WCFX-FM Radio in Mount Pleasant as an on-air personality and advertising producer. His past research has focused on communication apprehension, but he also thoroughly enjoys outreach activities such as the Resume Writing/Job Search/Interviewing Workshop, which he organized in the summer of 2006 in Mount Pleasant, Michigan.
