Mission, Vision and Program Outcomes
Mission:
Building upon the mission, vision
and values of the College of Health Professions, the Dental
Hygiene Program will be a leader in providing opportunities for
innovative teaching and learning in career-oriented technologies
for the professional education of entry level dental
hygienists.
Vision:
The vision of the Dental Hygiene
Program is to be recognized as the premier education program that
maintains a student centered environment and fosters life-long
learning and leadership.
Program Outcomes:
1. Graduates of
the Dental Hygiene Program will utilize evidenced-based knowledge
and clinical competencies required to provide current,
comprehensive dental hygiene services.
2. Graduates of
the Dental Hygiene Program will communicate effectively to
acquire, develop and convey ideas and information to diverse
populations.
3. Graduates of
the Dental Hygiene Program will adhere to the ethical, legal and
professional conduct expected of the dental hygiene
profession.
