The academic year value of the Transfer Residential Life Scholarship is $2,000. Students must have an associate’s degree and a minimum cumulative transfer grade point average of 3.0. The transfer grade point average is calculated using all transferred grades even if they are from multiple colleges or universities.
The scholarship is automatically renewed for a second year if the student maintains a 3.0 or higher cumulative Ferris GPA. The two year value of the scholarship is $4,000. Students who wish to be considered for a third year of this scholarship, must continue to meet the renewal criteria of a 3.0 or higher GPA and full-time enrollment, and may submit an emailed request to firstname.lastname@example.org for consideration.
Students must be enrolled full–time in an undergraduate, degree-granting program on the main Big Rapids campus only, and must reside in a residence hall* on campus. Students meeting the Transfer Residential Life Scholarship requirements will receive automatic consideration upon admission to Ferris.
One transfer scholarship, that which provides the student with the greatest benefit, will be awarded per year.
Ferris State University Transfer Scholarship award offers are subject to the availability of funds.
*Students residing on campus in Apartments, Townhouses, East-Campus Suites or Family Housing Units are ineligible for Residential Life Scholarships.
