How Financial Aid Is Disbursed

Financial Aid is disbursed directly to student billing accounts after the Drop & Add Registration period is over for each semester, which is typically during the second week of class.

For students who did not have all of their financial aid requirements completed by the first disbursement date of each semester, aid will be disbursed on the next scheduled weekly disbursement date after all of the requirements have been met.

Because Ferris State University bills one semester at a time, annual financial aid awards are usually divided in half, and half applied to the Fall semester bill and half applied to the Spring semester bill.
