Tips To Minimize Student Loan Debt
Financial Literacy

The Student Loan Debt Clock reports an estimate of current student loan debt outstanding, including both federal and private student loans.

Ferris State University is concerned about the average loan debt of our students.

For many students, educational loans are necessary to finance their education. This website is dedicated to providing students and parents with tools and information that can help them to minimize student loan debt and to borrow wisely when loans are the only option.

You are encouraged to explore all of the link options on the right-hand side of this page. You will find informative articles as well as links to CashCourse and CashCourse videos. These short videos provide detailed information on subjects from "How to Budget" to "How To Plan for Retirement".

The NSLDS link will take you to the federal loan database so you can check your total federal loan indebtedness. Once you know how much money you have borrowed, you can use the Loan Calculator link to estimate payments for when you go into repayment.
