On-Campus Recruiting Overview

Career Center hosts an active on-campus recruiting program managed through Bulldog CareerLink, a web-based service powered by Symplicity. Employers find on-campus visits to be a very effective way to identify prospective summer interns and full-time hires.

On-Campus Recruiting (OCR) is a spectrum of services to assist employers in productively recruiting current Ferris State University students for roles in their organizations. A full-service (posting, screening, and interviewing) OCR process typically requires 2 to 4 weeks from start to finish and can include the following:

In general we have three interview rooms on site and can make accommodations for additional rooms. Some employers set up separate schedules for different positions, while others will combine candidates (for instance, for internships and full-time positions) on one schedule.

OCR recruiting activities align with the student's academic time frames (Fall and Spring semesters). Typically candidates would not be available to start in roles until logical breaks in their academics.

The fall recruiting calendar runs from September until the end of November, and spring calendar runs from January until the end April. To schedule a recruiting date, please sign into Bulldog CareerLinkand complete the schedule request section under to OCR tab.

Once your reservation request is complete, you will receive a confirmation via e-mail, with instructions for arranging your on-campus visit. You may wish to hold an Information Session for Ferris State students in conjunction with your visit, which you can also requesting Bulldog CareerLink under the Events tab.
