Doug is responsible for obtaining the optimal value for materials and services. Doug works to ensure quality supplier performance by resolving performance problems and analyzing market and delivery conditions as well as identifying new products and services, which will benefit the University.

He assists end-users in accessing vendors and answering questions regarding entering, revising, and processing of various documents within the University ERP System (Banner). Doug directs work and supervises student employees. He also coordinates the maintenance of various databases and files, including bidding database, vendor bid list, lease and insurance databases. Doug administers vendor contracts, solicits bids and approves high-dollar purchases. Doug assists the Director with development of policies and procedures in order to assure improvement as well as achieve University, department and individual goals.
