Progress is being made to enhance evaluation processes and the related performance improvement methodologies. All divisions are making progress at connecting assessment initiatives to the University's overall planning process. For example, within Student Affairs a timeline/outline has been developed which ensures that departmental and divisional assessment initiatives are congruent with the University mission, goals and planning initiatives. Periodic meetings between Directors and the Vice President and others, and subsequent sharing of written progress reports/updates, help keep key University stakeholders informed about these processes. The Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning has hosted some events with faculty to explore how the faculty evaluation process can be more useful and alternatives to the SAI are being tested.
