Deb Yost was appointed as Executive Secretary in October of 2005. In this position she manages the General Counsel’s schedule and provides a broad range of responsible, independent and complex secretarial and administrative assistance requiring a significant degree of decision-making. Deb also coordinates and manages the division’s activities and functions and is responsible for office accounting and management of record keeping systems for the division's budgets. Prior to her current appointment, Deb served as Executive Secretary to the Vice President for Governmental Relations and General Counsel from March 2000 to October 2005, and as Legal Secretary when she joined the University in March of 1997. She has over 30 years of experience in the legal field.
Deb served on the University Committee on Discipline from 2000/01 through 2002/03, the Women's Professional Development Conference Hospitality Committee in 2003, and the Distinguished Staff/Team Awards Committee from 2006-2008. She successfully completed the FSU Employee Leadership Development Program and Leadership Mecosta in 2004.
Deb earned an Associate Degree in Legal Secretary from Lansing Business University (now Davenport) and she is currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Science Business Administration program at the University.
