Signature Line
Signature Line

The Ferris State University signature line is the primary and preferred graphic identifier for Ferris State University.

Note: In the signature line examples to the right and throughout this site, you will notice that the traditional flame, an abbreviation of the University seal used with the signature line in the past, has been replaced with a new box flame, a variation of Ferris' 125th anniversary logo introduced in 2009-10.

As you develop new marketing and promotional materials (printed and electronic materials, banners, signage, table skirts, giveaways, etc.), please use the box flame in conjunction with the signature line. We will continue to allow the use of the traditional flame on University stationery (letterhead, envelopes and business cards), pre-existing signage and other applications where it is already embedded as a key component of our identity system.

No other university logo or mark should be used in conjunction with the signature line. The signature line should appear prominently on every University publication, in one corner or centered. Please do not attempt to manipulate the signature line on your computer by changing its font or color, stretching the type, or adding or subtracting design elements.
