Chuck is an honorably discharged U.S. Marine who work in the communications field, while providing fixed wing close-air, helicopter assault, medevac, and movement/resupply support. He has been actively involved in the community while being the Regional Commissioner of the youth soccer program for Mecosta county and surrounding areas. He was the woman's head coach for the Big Rapids high school soccer team. He also is the current Commander of the Disabled American Veteran chapter of Big Rapids, a position he's held for the past five years.
He provides desktop support to customers on the Big Rapids campus and offsite recruiters of Ferris State University. He has previous experience in the Information Technology industry having been the system administrator, Novell GroupWise administrator, network administrator, and IT Director for a municipal government. Prior to returning to Ferris in 2007 he provided clerical and IT support for several public service industries, as well being a student computer lab supervisor here from 1992 - 95. He has a working experience and knowledge of a vast array of application software, Operating Systems, and computer hardware enabling him to provide efficient and effective customer service to the Ferris State University community.
Since returning to Ferris he has worked in the IT call center as a support specialist and coordinator. He is involved in student growth and development as well in his roles of advisor to the Student Veteran Association and Fishing Club. As the advisor of these organization he provides leadership and guidance to the officers and members, as well as the mentor/coach for the Fishing Club teams who participate in local, regional, and national fishing tournaments.
