Network Technician

Steve DockhamRight out of high school, Steve served our country in the Army for 10 years as an Electronics Repair technician and Communications Supervisor for the Patriot Missile System. He served during Panama and Gulf War I. His overseas assignments include one tour in South Korea and two tours in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. He ended his military service as a Sergeant.

Steve comes to FSU with a 10 year background in VoIP communications and network design. His experience as an enterprise level installation and service technician, project manager, and service coordinator has brought a new enthusiasm to the ETS team. Steve is charged with maintaining the university's DNS, DHCP, and network access with Cisco Clean Access. He is the primary network technician for FSUs Grand Rapids branches, Kendall College of Art and Design and the Applied Technology Center. He also operates as secondary network technician for FSUs network infrastructure here in Big Rapids.

Education:

IP PBX certified for Mitel and NEC Enterprise level communication platforms.
