The IT Security Group is instrumental in the development, delivery and maintenance
of information security systems to safeguard the university's data, information assets
and the supporting infrastructure against unauthorized use, disclosure, modification,
damage or loss. The service including the implementation of IT security methods and
remediation, monitoring of IT security related events, threat and vulnerability management,
and IT security incident response service.
We:
- Promote a safe and secure information technology operational environment
- Coordinate and communicate security related information to the University community
- Identify confidential, propriety, and sensitive information resources, determine appropriate
uses and access of these resources, and employ measures to protect the resources from
unauthorized access and/or disclosure.
- Ensure the accuracy, validity, and completeness of information by protecting resources
from unauthorized intentional and accidental modification.
