Responsible Conduct of Research

Ferris State University (FSU) offers training and educational opportunities for faculty and students involved in all aspects of undergraduate research and when applicable, graduate research. The following Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) program satisfies both the NIH and NSF requirements with online training.

Online Training


FSU Utilizes the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) course in the Responsible Conduct of Research to provide a basic training in RCR. Training has been in place since 2012, is completed online, and consists of the following modules:

  • Data Acquisition, Management, Sharing and Ownership
  • Social and Behavioral Module
  • Biomedical Modules
  • Human Subjects
  • Animal Care and Use
  • Human Subject Research
  • Good Clinical Practice
  • Conflict of Interest
