Dr. Lori Sundberg has served as President of Carl Sandburg College since 2010 and held several previous positions at Carl Sandburg College including: VP of Academic Services, VP of Administrative Services, Dean of HR/Organizational Development and Director of Institutional Research. Carl Sandburg College is a small, rural multi-campus community college serving approximately 4,500 students annually. Carl Sandburg College has the distinction of being recognized as the #1 Tech Savvy School in the country for colleges its size for the last two years and has ranked in the top 10 for the last eight years.

Sundberg serves on the AACC Board of Directors and will serve the 2014-2015 year as a member of the AACC Executive Committee and will chair the Committee on Directors and Membership Services. Last year, she chaired the AACC Commission on Research, Technology and Emerging Trends and was a member of the 21st Century Implementation Team for Accountability. Sundberg is a peer evaluator for the Higher Learning Commission. She also is a member of the Illinois Council of Presidents and currently serves as a member of its Executive Committee.

Sundberg has written and published articles on leadership, technology, and enrollment trends as well as given numerous presentations. She has taught at Carl Sandburg College as well as Knox College in business and economics.
