Larry Lindquist

Larry is originally from LeRoy, a small community in Osceola County, Michigan. Larry earned his B.S. degree from Central Michigan University in History and Math and a B.S. in Education. He earned his M.A. degree from CMU in Educational Administration. In the Hillman Community School District Larry served as Curriculum Director, Adult and Community Education Director, Assistant Principal and Athletic Director. He served as Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent of the Montague schools before retiring in 1998. He currently works as a Field Representative for FSU, a Board Policy Associate for the National Charter Schools Institute, and is owner of the Triple L Enterprises, an educational consultant firm which he founded in 1999. He has been a FSU Field Representative since 1998.

Academy Oversight Responsibilities:

* Benton Harbor Charter School, Benton Harbor
* Hope Academy of West Michigan, Grand Rapids 
* Lighthouse Academy, Grand Rapids
* Northridge Academy, Flint

Field Representative Duties and Responsibilities:

FSU Field Representatives serve as the "eyes and ears" of the CSO office in the field. Representatives are required to visit their assigned academies and Academy Board meetings at least six (6) times during the year to monitor and report back to the CSO on the following:

* Safety compliance
* Teacher certification
* Oversight review
* Classroom observations
* Operational issues within the Academy
* General operation upkeep of physical plant
* Proper posting of the Academy Board meetings
* Proper parliamentary procedures at Board meetings

All academy visits are documented in report form to the Director within five (5) days of attendance, and verbal reports on academies are given at monthly meetings of the CSO staff.
