Accreditation Information

Ferris State University seeks additional specialized accreditation whenever it exist if it meets the needs of our students and/or employers and adds additional distinction to our programs.  Accreditation typically requires an intensive self-evaluation that incorporates feedback from employers, faculty, students, and others followed by a review visit conducted by other professionals in the relevant field.  It also typically requires producing extensive evidence that verifies the quality of the program, such as licensure pass rates, graduation rates, learning achievements, placement rates, and more.

During the 2012-13 academic year, Ferris has earned recognition by 32 separate accreditors that cover about 70 programs. The names of the accreditors, the programs covered, and the date of the next accreditation review are all provided here.
