Sec. 8-102. Public Safety Department Oversight Committee.
The Public Safety Department Oversight Committee is authorized to receive and address grievances by persons against Ferris State University Public Safety Officers or the Ferris State University Department of Public Safety and to make recommendations to the Director of Public Safety that disciplinary measures be taken by the Department against a Public Safety Officer who is found responsible for misconduct in office.

1990 PA 120 empowers the governing boards of control of public 4-year institutions of higher education to grant certain powers and authority to their public safety officers; requires those public safety officers to meet certain standards; and requires institutions of higher education to make certain crime reports.
