Priority Consideration for Honors Students

The College of Heath Professions at Ferris State University has a number of special opportunities for students in good standing the Honors Program: 

Nursing

The School of Nursing extends an opportunity for limited, special competitive admission for those meeting the qualification criteria and weighted higher for GPA.  For each admission cycle, 25% or 16 of the 64 seats are designated for this competitive admission. Historically, these seats have been awarded to students in the honors program at FSU. Beginning March 2017, all students who meet qualification criteria, are in good standing at Ferris State University and have a competitive GPA will be evaluated for this early admission opportunity.

Molecular Diagnostics

The Molecular Diagnostics program extends an opportunity for early admission to students who are in good standing in the FSU Honors program at the time of application to the professional program sequence.  For each admission cycle, 10% or 3 of the seats are designated for Honors students who meet the qualification criteria. It is the expectation of the Molecular Diagnostics program that if awarded early admission, these students will continue their participation in the Honors program during their enrollment in the Molecular Diagnostics program.

Diagnostic Medical Sonography

The Diagnostic Medical Sonography program extends an opportunity for early admission to students who are in good standing in the FSU Honors program at the time of application to the professional sonography program sequence.  For each admission cycle, 10% or 2 of the seats are designated for Honors students who meet the qualification criteria. It is the expectation of the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program that if awarded early admission, these students will continue their participation in the Honors program during their enrollment in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
