Application Process

First Year Student Requirements:
- To apply to Honors for Fall 2010, students must have a cumulative high school GPA of 3.40 on a 4.00 scale; have a composite ACT score of 24 or an SAT score of 1120 (only using the math and reading scores).
- Writing sample to be administered on campus the last Saturday in February, 2010 at the Honors Invitational Competition. All high school students applying to Honors must attend.
First Year International Student Requirements

- Contact the International Admissions Office about Applying to Honors. International students can apply to Honors by referral from the International Admissions Coordinator.
- 3.40 or higher high school cumulative GPA.
- TOEFL 69 or IELTS 6.5 - if student comes from a country where English is not the native language.
- Writing sample (to be administered by teacher, counselor or advisor in your high school).
Transfer Requirements (internal or external)
Deadline to apply for Spring 2010: December 1, 2009.
Deadline to apply for Fall 2010: July 31, 2010.
- Transfer students are considered for admission into the Honors Program based on a minimum cumulative college GPA of 3.25 in at least 18 but not more than 66 hours of college credit at the time of acceptance, none of which are in remedial or developmental classes.
