Application Process
For Entering Freshmen
Deadline to apply for Fall 2008: February 1, 2008- 3.4 or higher high school cumulative GPA average (on a 4.00 scale).
- 24+ ACT Composite. (Contact Tammy Babcock at babcockt@ferris.edu for SAT minimums.)
- Writing sample to be administered at FSU the last Saturday in February at the Honors Invitational Competition.
- Three on-line recommendations. (Web address for forms will be given to applicant upon receipt of Honors application).
- Students are ranked by the following: ACT/SAT - 35%, High School Cumulative GPA - 30%, Writing Sample - 25% and Recommendation Forms - 10%. (Percentages are subject to change).
For Transfers (internal or external)
Deadline to apply for Spring 2008: November 10, 2007Deadline to apply for Fall 2007: July 1, 2008
- Transfer students are considered for admission into the Honors Program based on a minimum cumulative college GPA of 3.25 in at least 18 but not more than 66 hours of college credit at the time of acceptance, none of which are in remedial or developmental classes.
- Three on-line recommendations. (Web address for forms will be given to applicant upon receipt of Honors application).
For Internationals
- 3.40 or higher high school cumulative GPA.
- 525 TOEFL - if student comes from a country where English is not the native language.
- Writing sample (to be administered by proctor in your high school).
