The Honors Program

HONORS INVITATIONAL

The final Honors application process is attending the Honors Invitational which is held the last Saturday in February. Students applying to Honors are required to attend and submit a writing sample. About four weeks after the Invitational, the rankings are completed and based on the following criteria:

• ACT or SAT Score: 35%
• Cumulative High School GPA: 30%
• Invitational Writing Sample: 25%
• Three On-line Recommendation Forms: 10%
